Creator-Led Launch

A product launch where creators are the primary distribution channel from day one, not a layer added after.

Definition

A creator-led launch designs the entire go-to-market around creator distribution: product seeding to a tier-three audience 6–8 weeks pre-launch, paid creator content live at launch, and an affiliate or amplification engine running for 30–60 days post-launch. PR and paid social orbit around the creator plan, not the reverse.

This model has produced most of the breakout DTC launches of the last five years across beauty, food, beverage, and apparel. It works because creators carry trust the brand cannot manufacture on its own — and because the resulting content makes everything else, including paid social, more efficient.

Example

A new beverage launches with 60 seeded creators 8 weeks pre-launch, 25 paid creator posts in launch week, and 200 TikTok Shop affiliates active by week four — first-month revenue 4x the brand's internal forecast.
