Case Study Frameworks for Influencer Launch Recaps

The post-launch case study is where you turn a one-time campaign into a credibility asset.

Most brands write launch recaps as internal post-mortems. The best brands also publish them as outward-facing case studies that anchor sales conversations, recruit creators, and earn press. Here's the framework.

Structure

Setup. What was the launch goal, what was at stake, what was the brand position before launch.

Challenge. What was hard. Be specific. "We needed to sell 5,000 units in 7 days with no existing audience in this category."

Approach. The strategic choices — who you partnered with, why, what the content arc looked like.

Execution. What actually happened. Wave-by-wave breakdown if relevant.

Results. The numbers that matter — revenue, attribution, brand metrics, creator program health.

Learnings. What you'd do differently. This is the section most brands skip; it's also the most credible.

What to include

Real numbers (when you can). Direct creator quotes. Screenshots of standout posts. A short video recap.

What to leave out

Vanity metrics. "10 million impressions" without conversion context. Industry buzzwords.

Distribution

Publish on your site. Pitch as press to category trade pubs. Send to creators you want to recruit. Use in sales decks if you're B2B.

A well-written launch case study earns more from second-order use than it ever did from the launch itself.
